an overview of pyxis and wingu

.  HELLO!  . I'm Wingu, and this is a little overview carrd for an Au Ra who has taken up too much brain space and needs to leave is my main muse and the main WoL for my creative pieces..  WINGU  .  A British 32 year old enby who works in IT for a living, but has a Creative Writing degree and occasionally remembers they can put it to good use. Doesn't get as much time as they want to pursue these urges, but loves doing so..  PYXIS   .  "A small and faint constellation in the southern sky. .  TWO SERVERS?   .  Whilst I have completed MSQ, I am also occasionally very slowly writing about the FFXIV story through Pyxis' experiences, and I found it was going to be much easier to just have a copy of them on another server; mainly for ease of referencing lines and taking screenshots. Odin is the home of the 'original' Pyxis, with Omega being the 'fic' Pyxis. I chose Omega because I have a friend who plays there - no other major reason!.  WRITING?  .  My FFXIV through Pyxis' eyes fic will be getting a bit of an overhaul eventually just because I have some changes in mind for how I wanted to structue the fict, but for now can be found here. However, there are lots of other snippets as part of my works for FFXIV Write 2023 & 2024 on my Ao3, and in my Writing!Wingu tag on Tumblr!.  ROLEPLAY?  . I would be more than happy to exchange in some longer format RP with Pyxis, be it their WOL self or otherwise, and would prefer to do so out of game as I don't always have an active subscription. .  WHITE MAGE  .  Pyxis doesn't hold many of her childhood memories; her formative years were spent in Mor Dhona, where their adoptive parents raised and cared for them. Their father told many stories of Gridania and the Conjurers' guild there, and was a promenant healer within the community himself.Pyxis was raised to always help others whenever possible, but was always told that if there was no hope, to be remember the phrase “Such is the will of the forest.” They have never used this phrase themselves, and have always been willing to exhaust every possibility; oftentimes to their detriment..  ASTROLOGIAN  .  Though Ishgard may have been weary of Pyxis at first, being both under the protection of House Fortemps and an Au Ra, it wasn't long before Pyxis learned of the magics held in Athenaeum Astrologicum. They had been enamoured by the stars for as long as they could remember, and learning under the Astrologicum opened up a new path that combined their love of stars with their desire to help others.The Au Ra mainly uses their White Mage skillset in day to day life, leaving the powers of the stars for more personal and dire times; they hold the stars in such high regards and daren't use them unless all other avenues have been taken..  GENDER   .  Pyxis is confident in and has come to love their feminine body, but during their youth they often felt at odds with identifying soley as a 'woman'. There was something offputting with being held by such restrictive terms when their heart held multitudes. Though they won't 'correct' people for using she/her pronouns, those who are close know that the Au Ra prefers otherwise.

.  AGE   . Pyxis started their journey in Gridania at 28, putting the journey of the main story taking place over the course of roughly a year per expansion. So much has happened to them during this time, and they have grown so much, but adventure and growth still has youth within her heart..  RAUBAHN  .  Though a member of the The Order of the Twin Adder, mainly to keep their adoptive father close to her heart, Pyxis grew close to Raubahn through their adventures; slowly but surely falling in love with his indomitable spirit and desire to help those less fortunate than themselves - including himself.The Grand Melee was a huge turning point for realising that this wasn't just a crush, but did not act on the feelings for fear of rejection. It was painfully obvious to those around the pair that there was some pining going on both ways, however, but neither confessed until Pyxis returned from the First for the first time; being spirited away and unsure if they were going to return meant that a lot of pent up emotions suddenly came bubbling out..  G'RAHA TIA  .  Not 'canon' for Pyxis; in a timeline where they didn't fall for Raubahn, G'raha helped Pyxis out of their shell somewhat during their time in NOAH together, and there was some awkward, unknowing flirting between the two. Though not confessing to him outright, they did promise that they would wait for G'raha to return, no matter how long that would take.Once on the First, Pyxis had an inkling that the Exarch was G'raha from voice alone, but was too afraid they were wrong to do anything about it. It was only when the Exarch was all but telling Pyxis he was G'raha that she spilled everything, and their first promise could finally be upheld.

.  ALEXANDRITE   . When looking for people to help with delving into Sastasha, Alexandrite just happened to be close by. Just happened to be willing enough to lend a hand for the right amount of gil. Just happened to want to stay by Pyxis' side after seeing the potential strength the Au Ra had. Though the Viera has a cold outer shell, Pyxis is stubborn enough to hold their hand out enough times to her for her to finally reach out..  RILO'SAE   . Though first introductions may have been cautious, with the Miqo'te offering his services after evesdropping on a conversation, there were never any real tensions - at least not between Pyxis and Ri'se. Whenever they have trepidations about less than above board activities, Ri'se is always willing to help - and not even for a price any more..  VALERIE   . Recommended by Ri'se to aid in one of their earlier adventurers, the ray of sunshine is a constant source of comfort that Pyxis didn't know they had been missing. A shoulder to lean on, one to tell most of their troubles to, it's a surprise to find that Valerie is the same age as they are. This never gets in the way of them helping build each other up through whatever downs they may be going through, and Pyxis knows if Valerie is around there is a smile not too far off to be found.

.  VELA  . Someone who Pyxis will never meet, but has strong connections to regardless: Azem. The Sun. The traveller. A troublemaker, seeing themselves as both above and not worthy of the Convocation. Still, the energies contained in the crystal that Pyxis holds dear is a reminder that even when the stars fade, the sun will shine again..  ANTLIA  . A chance enounter with a teen Au Ra on the streets of Kugane was the puzzle piece they weren't looking for. As someone who knew they didn't want children of their own, the broken soul that bore the ame name as their trusty chocobo forged a bond strong enough to call Antlia a son..  PIPIN  . Whilst adopted by Raubahn, and their relationship with the Commander changing enough to potentially be seen as a 'mother' figure, Pyxis has never forced any sort of parental authority with the Lalafell. After all, they were friends and fighters first; their eight year age difference also added to the awkward feelings. Despite all this, their joint wish to see Raubahn happy brings them together to still have that close familial bond.

.  WOL!Pyxis  . These hooks are based around Pyxis being the Warrior of Light and having gone through the plot points of MSQ. As such, these prompts are not romance/flirtation friendly as are in a committed relationship.

.  AST!Pyxis   . These hooks are based around Pyxis not having gone through MSQ at all, and as such is solely an Astrologian training in Gridania. These prompts are also romance friendly since they will not have a partner!
